Shopify Business Analyst

About the Role:

We are looking for a Shopify Techno-Functional Expert who bridges business needs and platform capabilities. You'll own the day-to-day administration, optimization, and growth of our Shopify storefronts for our diamonds & Jewelry brands. This is a BA + Admin role, not a core developer position. Youll advise on best practices, configure the platform, coordinate with developers when needed, and ensure a flawless experience for customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities of Shopify BA & Store Administrator

• Own & Administer Stores: Set up, configure, and manage multiple Shopify/Shopify Plus stores across legal entities, including payments, taxes/GST, domains, and user permissions.
• Translate Business to Tech: Gather requirements from marketing/sales/ops and implement solutions using native Shopify features, themes, and apps.
• Theme & UX Management: Implement/customize themes via editor + basic Liquid/HTML/CSS, optimize navigation, product discovery, and checkout flow for conversion.
• App & Integration Management: Evaluate, install, and manage third-party apps + ERP/CRM/marketing integrations. Coordinate with developers for complex builds.
• Catalog & Merchandising: Manage product listings, variants, metafields, collections, pricing, and rich media like GIA certs & 360 videos.
• Performance & SEO: Monitor site speed/Core Web Vitals, implement on-page SEO, schema, redirects, and drive CRO improvements.
• Troubleshoot & Support: Act as L1/L2 support for store issues, app conflicts, and order problems. Liaise with Shopify Support or devs for L3.
• Reporting & Enablement: Build dashboards in Shopify Analytics/GA4, document SOPs, and train internal teams on platform usage.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience: 4-6 years in e-commerce, with 2+ years hands-on as Shopify Admin/BA. Experience with high-ticket, luxury, or Jewelry brands preferred.

Platform: Deep knowledge of Shopify & Shopify Plus admin, themes, apps, payments, and limitations. Shopify Plus multi-store experience is a plus.

Technical: Comfortable with theme editor, Liquid basics, HTML/CSS. Can configure apps, webhooks, and basic API concepts. Not expected to code custom apps.

Functional: Strong understanding of e-commerce workflows, catalog, inventory, pricing, promotions, orders, fulfillment, returns, accounting

Soft Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, and ability to explain tech to non-tech teams.

Nice to Have

• Shopify Partner Academy certifications.
• Experience with ERP integrations like SAP.
• Knowledge of Jewelry industry specifics: GIA/IGI certs, hallmarking, BIS, karat/metal variants.
• Exposure to headless, but not mandatory.
