Job Summary:

We are seeking a talentedShopify Backend Developerwith23 years of experienceto join our eCommerce development team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience inShopify Liquid, JavaScript, and API integrations, along with the ability toleverage AI tools effectivelyfor faster coding, debugging, and technical research.

You'll work on building, customizing, and optimizing Shopify/Shopify Plus stores for global brands while collaborating with designers and backend teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintainShopify and Shopify Plusstores.
• Implement custom themes usingLiquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Integrate and customizeShopify Apps and APIs.
• Work withShopify Functions,Checkout UI Extensions, andmetafields.
• UtilizeAI-assisted development tools(e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate coding, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct research and generate technical insights using AI tools for performance optimization, UX improvement, and automation.
• Collaborate with the design team to convertFigma/PSD layoutsinto responsive Shopify themes.
• Optimize site speed and SEO performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain version control usingGit.
• Follow agile processes and maintain proper documentation.

Technical Skills Required:

• Proficient inShopify Liquidtemplating and theme development.
• Must have 2-3 years of experience with Shopify Backend development.
• Experience withShopify APIs (REST & GraphQL)and Storefront API.
• Solid understanding ofHTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Familiar withShopify CLI,Checkout Extensibility, andShopify Functions.
• Experience withJSON templates, dynamic sections, and metafields.
• Understanding ofAI-assisted development workflows(prompt-based problem solving, code refactoring, etc.).
• Experience withGit version controland CI/CD deployment workflows.
• Knowledge ofsite performance optimization, caching, and SEO best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience withShopify Plusandcustom app development.
• Knowledge ofNode.jsorReactfor building app extensions.
• Experience using tools likeKlaviyo,Rebuy, or other Shopify ecosystem apps.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
