Experience 5-10 years of relevant experiencein chemical manufacturing, process plants, petrochemical plants, or continuous process industries.
Prior experience inshift handling, plant operations, and team supervisionis highly preferred.
Age Criteria: 28-32 years
CTC: Up to 22 LPA(depending on experience, skills, and interview performance)
Job Summary
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing chemical plant operations during the assigned shift. The role involves supervising operational teams, ensuring efficient production, maintaining process parameters, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. The Shift Supervisor will lead the shift team to achieve production targets while maintaining safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Operations Management
Supervise overall plant operations during the assigned shift.
Ensure smooth functioning of process units and production systems.
Monitor plant performance and ensure achievement of production targets.
Manage plant start-ups, shutdowns, and operational transitions.
- Process Monitoring Control
Monitor key process parameters such astemperature, pressure, flow rate, and chemical composition.
Identify process deviations and implement corrective actions.
Optimize plant performance to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Team Leadership Supervision
Lead and supervise shift engineers, operators, and field technicians.
Allocate tasks and responsibilities to the shift team.
Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical support to junior staff.
- Safety Regulatory Compliance
Ensure strict adherence toplant safety policies, environmental regulations, and operational procedures.
Conduct safety inspections and ensure proper use of PPE.
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or unsafe conditions.
- Coordination with Maintenance
Coordinate with maintenance teams forpreventive and breakdown maintenance.
Ensure quick resolution of equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Support maintenance activities during plant shutdowns or repairs.
- Production Planning Reporting
Ensure production schedules are followed and targets are achieved.
Maintain detailedshift reports, production logs, and operational records.
Provide proper shift handover and communicate important updates to the next shift.
Ensure product quality meets the required specifications.
Work closely with the quality control team to monitor product standards.
Implement corrective actions in case of quality deviations.
