Job Description
Ensure the implementation of safety procedures and processes (Workplace safety & Waste management) in the fields
Act as Incident command control until arrival of SSM in case of ERCP incidences
To head Shift Team Meetings and formulate a shift plan for the days activities
Review and approve permits for all critical jobs and ensure implementation on field
Monitoring of the shift wise consumption of the raw materials and utilities
Monitor & troubleshoot all process parameters and equipment condition for smooth operation of the plant
Review critical trends/ alarm summaries and check status of plant load variations
Effective use of OMPro tool.
Ensure compliance to SOP's / SOCs
To lead team for safe & smooth start-up, shutdown and emergency handling (target 0 flaring)
Attend plant rake up meeting and share the highlights with shift team during SSS (SITUATIONAL AWARENESS AT START OF SHIFT )
Highlight exceptions in parameters which affect product quality.
Follow up with maintenance departments to expedite planned / unplanned maintenance activities
Supervise the execution of process/product improvement trials as planned in the plant
Identify training and development needs of panel and field operators
Educational Qualification
Degree Chemical Engineering or B.Sc. or M.Sc.
Desirable
Understanding about basic unit operations
Understanding of chiller systems, cooling towers, thermal heaters, demineralized water generation and di-ionized water generation packages, multistage compression and distillation process
Relevant Experience
Degree holder - minimum 3 years as Shift engineer
Diploma & B.Sc./M.Sc. holder - 5 years as Shift engineer
