Job Description

Role: Shift Incharge - Maintenance - Electrical

Location: Chatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad)

Reporting To: Maintenance Lead - Vehicle & Battery

Team name: Maintenance, Manufacturing Operations

About the Team and the Role:

The Manufacturing team at Ather is responsible for ensuring the availability of all plant and machinery required for daily operations and maintaining high standards through the SQCDM (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale) framework.

We are looking for a Shift Incharge - Maintenance - Electrical to lead maintenance associates, manage preventive maintenance schedules, and drive continuous improvement projects to ensure seamless production.

Responsibilities:

Operations & Execution

  • Zero Line-Stop: Manage spare parts availability, planning, and vendor negotiations to ensure zero line-stop situations.
  • Daily Maintenance: Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring efficient work allocation for associates and execution of scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
  • Installations & Commissioning: Support machine installations, commissioning, and tool calibration in coordination with Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Process Engineering (PE), and Quality teams.
  • Contractor Management: Drive continuous improvement and plant machinery projects while supervising contractor work within the premises.

Performance & Quality Standards

  • KPI Management: Monitor and analyze department KPIs (SQCDM), take corrective actions, and maintain 100% adherence to operational standards.
  • Audit Readiness: Ensure audit readiness for internal and external certifications (ISO) while maintaining high standards of workplace hygiene and 5S.
  • Change Management: Lead change management processes (MQ1, SOR, DAP) and collaborate on MFMEA activities with cross-functional teams.

People Management

  • Team Leadership: Manage associate performance through evaluation, counseling, and competency framework development to maintain high team morale.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Required qualifications - B Tech
  • Experience (no. of years) - 3 to 5 Years

Must Have Competencies:

  • Maintenance Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in managing machine preventive maintenance and executing complex breakdown maintenance.
  • Risk Mitigation: Advanced analytical skills and usage of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Vendor & Team Management: Ability to lead technical team development and manage vendors to optimize supplier performance and internal technical capabilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced PLC programming knowledge and data management using Google Sheets to track and improve maintenance metrics.

Good to have Competencies:

  • Problem Solving: Basic machine build capability and ability to solve electrical program-related issues.
  • Six Sigma: Utilization of Six Sigma methodologies to identify process inefficiencies and drive data-backed improvements.
  • Tools & Systems: SAP navigation for resource planning and maintenance documentation.
  • JIRA for managing and tracking maintenance stories and project tasks.
