Role Description The Shift Incharge – Chemical Industry role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kalyan Dombivli. The role involves supervising day-to-day operations of the chemical production shift, including monitoring process parameters, coordinating with operators, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards. The Shift Incharge will plan and allocate workforce, manage material usage, and ensure timely completion of production targets. Responsibilities include reporting production data, troubleshooting process issues, coordinating with maintenance for equipment reliability, and implementing standard operating procedures. The role also requires maintaining documentation, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement in productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of chemical process operations, including reaction, mixing, filtration, and handling of chemicals.
- Candidates should possess skills in production planning, shift supervision, and resource allocation in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment.
- Candidates should possess abilities in safety management, adherence to regulatory and environmental norms, and incident prevention practices.
- Candidates should possess competence in process monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and coordination with maintenance for equipment and utilities.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in documentation, report preparation, and use of basic computer applications for data logging and communication.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline is preferred.
- minimum 5 years of experience as a shift incharge, production supervisor, or similar role in the chemical or process industry is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, team leadership ability, and a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement are required.
