Role Description The Shift In-Charge – Production role is a full-time, on-site position based at Levista's manufacturing facility in Kushalnagar, Coorg. This role oversees production activities during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to production plans, quality standards, and safety protocols. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring production lines, coordinating workforce allocation, supervising equipment operation and basic maintenance, and ensuring timely completion of shift targets. The Shift In-Charge – Production also maintains accurate production records, addresses operational issues, and collaborates with quality, maintenance, and logistics teams to keep processes running efficiently. The role involves guiding and supporting shift team members, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and complying with food safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Production supervision and manufacturing operations skills, including experience handling shift-based workflows, monitoring output, and managing resources on the shop floor.
- Quality control and process improvement skills, with the ability to follow SOPs, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Team leadership and people management skills, such as assigning tasks, training and coaching team members, and resolving day-to-day operational issues.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, including maintaining production logs, reporting shift performance, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Food Technology, or a related discipline; prior experience in FMCG or food/beverage manufacturing is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment in Kushalnagar, with flexibility to operate in rotating shifts and strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Effective communication skills and basic computer literacy for using production systems and reporting tools.
