Shift In-Charge

Role Overview

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Shift In-Charge to manage day-to-day operations during the assigned shift. The person will be responsible for ensuring smooth production/warehouse operations, managing the shift team, maintaining productivity and quality standards, and resolving operational issues on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all activities during the assigned shift.
• Allocate manpower and work responsibilities to team members based on operational requirements.
• Ensure smooth and timely completion of daily shift targets.
• Monitor productivity, quality, attendance and overall performance of the team.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, dispatch, quality and other relevant teams for smooth operations.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety guidelines and company policies.
• Identify operational issues and take timely corrective action.
• Maintain shift-wise reports, production/dispatch records and other operational data.
• Ensure proper handover of work, pending tasks and issues to the next shift.
• Monitor the availability and proper use of materials, equipment and other resources.
• Handle team-related issues and maintain discipline on the shop floor/warehouse floor.
• Escalate major operational, quality, safety or manpower issues to the reporting manager.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce operational losses.
  
  

Requirements

• Graduate/Diploma in Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in shift operations, preferably in manufacturing, warehousing, FMCG or D2C operations.
• Prior experience in managing a team of operators/workers.
• Good understanding of shift planning, manpower management and operational processes.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and operational reporting.
• Should be comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced operational environment.
