The Shift Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the data center in Rabale, India. This role involves monitoring systems, performing maintenance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the shift.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain data center operations to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Respond to and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and repairs as necessary.
- Document and report incidents and maintenance activities.
- Assist in the deployment of new equipment and systems.
- Participate in shift handovers and ensure effective communication between shifts.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking, and storage systems.
- Experience with monitoring tools and data center management software.
- Basic understanding of virtualization technologies and cloud services.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
