Role: Reliance Carbon Fiber - Operations - Shift Engineer - Chemical and Utilities
Education: Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering
Experience: 3 to 6 years
Job Description
- Ensure smooth functioning of the chemical & utility plants taking necessary decisions/actions including manpower deployment in shift as a shift leader.
- Coordinate with other dept. personnel in shifts and resolve operational and administrative issues during shift operation.
- Safely & timely hand-over / take over of equipment's to & from Maintenance department for Preventive & Predictive Maintenance as per plan & also provide safety instructions following SOP to the workforce during the activity.
- Preparation of shift status report (MIS) after collecting feedback from assisting team and giving feed back to department manager.
- Analysis of root causes for deviations / problems encountered during the shift operation along with action taken or recommended consequently.
- Daily Participation in the frame of GAMBA walk.
- Provide regular feed back on product quality & performance (Customer feed back) to the shift team members.
- Monitor & control in shift cost of quality and consumption of chemical & utility department (such as energy loss, waste generation , breakdown, & other quality indicators) and identify improvement points.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources in shift to have maximum productivity (Yield).
Preferred Experience
- Professional having Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputed university & a proven track record in the respective field.
- 3 to 5 years of working experience on shop floor of manmade fiber manufacturing process.
- Exposure in Acrylic fiber chemical process and or Utility processes.
- Experience of working in a department having continuous processes and 24/7 shift rotation with cross functional team members.
