Shift Engineer - Carbonisation

Role: Reliance Carbon Fiber - Operations - Shift Engineer - Carbonisation

Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering

Experience: 3 to 6 years

Job Description:

1. Ensure smooth functioning of the carbonization plants taking necessary decisions/actions including manpower deployment in shift as a shift leader.

2. Coordinate with other dept. personnel in shifts and resolve operational and administrative issues during shift opeation.

3. Safely & timely hand-over / take over of equipments to & from Maintenance department for Preventive & Predictive Maintenance as per plan & also provide safety instructions following SOP to the workforce during the shift.

4. Preparation of shift status report after collecting feedback (Management Information System, MIS) from assisting team and giving feed back to department manager.

5. Analysis of root causes for deviations / problems encountered during the shift operation along with action taken or recommended consequently.

6. Daily update & present the departmental performance in the frame of GAMBA walk.

7. Provide regular feed back on product quality & performance (Customer Feedback) to the shift team members.

Preferred Experience:

1. Professional having Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Textile engineering from a reputed university & a proven track record in the respective field.

2. 3 to 5 years of working experience on shop floor in handling large spinning mill fiber/yarn processing system / carbonization or similar manufacturing process.

3. Exposures / basic knowledge in complex unit operations in addition to precursor process / Carbonization / Similar High temperature manufacturing process.

4. Experience of working in a department having continuous processes and 24/7 shift rotation with cross functional team members.
