Job Title: Sheet Metal Model Maker
Reports to: Press Room Leader / Plant Manager
General Description
The responsibilities of a Sheet Metal Model Maker in the Duggan Manufacturing Press Room are:
- Ability to barber tooling (IE punch and die)
- Ability to set up punch and die tooling (2 piece, 3 piece, 4 piece)
- Knowledge of blank development, IE adjusting blanks for cracks, strains, and rips
- General knowledge of metal theory
- Ability to run secondary operations, IE bending / forming tabs, hems, etc.
- Basic part inspection
- Some welding experience helpful but not necessary
Work Experience Preferences
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must be able to drive a forklift
- Knowledge of general tool and die, metal forming theory
- Knowledge of basic part inspection
Education Preferences
- High School diploma or equivalent
