We are SW Metaform Pvt. Ltd., a specialist in CNC Sheet Metal Fabrication and Assemblies (Fiber Laser, CNC Bending, Robotic Welding) exporting high-quality products to the USA, UK, and UAE. We are looking for an engineer to join our critical Design and Planning team.

The Role:

You will be the vital link between engineering drawings and shop-floor production. Your role involves turning complex customer requirements into efficient manufacturing plans and ensuring smooth execution of fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

2D CAD: Creating detailed manufacturing drawings and optimizing material utilization through efficient nesting and layout using 2D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).

Assembly Planning: Analyzing and planning the fabrication sequence for simple and complex sheet metal assemblies to ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency.

Process Engineering: Generating process plans (bending sequences, welding fixtures, final assembly instructions) and tooling requirements for all stages of production.

Production Coordination: Collaborating directly with the shop floor (Laser Cutting, Bending, Welding) to resolve technical issues and ensure on-time project completion.

Documentation: Maintaining accurate engineering and planning documents, including BOMs (Bill of Materials) and process sheets.

What You Bring:

Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering.

Technical Expertise: Proven ability to work proficiently with 2D CAD software (AutoCAD mandatory).

Industry Experience (Required): Strong, practical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (Laser Cutting, CNC Bending, Welding).

Interpretation Skills: Excellent ability to read, interpret, and convert complex engineering drawings into production-ready data.

Experience Level: 2-4 years of experience in a similar planning or development role within a fabrication environment.
