Shadow Teacher Required in Horamavu area

Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Shadow Teacher role based in the Horamavu area of Bengaluru. The Shadow Teacher will support a specific student in a classroom setting, helping the learner stay focused, follow instructions, and participate in daily school activities. Responsibilities include reinforcing lessons delivered by classroom teachers, adapting learning materials when needed, and providing one-on-one guidance to build academic and social skills. The role involves close collaboration with teachers, school staff, and parents to share progress updates and align on strategies for student development. The Shadow Teacher is expected to maintain records of observations, follow school policies, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

The teacher will work from 8:10 to 12 Noon (half-day). The salary is 20k (negotiable for experienced candidates). If the student improves and she is able to manage a full day schedule, she will be compensated accordingly.

Qualifications

• Ability to support classroom learning and individual student needs.
• Skills in Training to adapt instructional strategies and reinforce concepts for the student.
• Effective Communication skills to collaborate with teachers, school administrators, families, and the student.
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, and the ability to manage behavior constructively in a classroom setting.
• Prior experience working with children in educational or support roles; experience as a shadow teacher or special educator is preferred.
• Relevant academic background in Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field is a plus.
