Job Description
The Assistant Manager in the Technical Centre of Excellence is pivotal in shaping the technical training landscape within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive technical training programs that equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. The incumbent will conduct regular assessments to identify training needs and address skill gaps, ensuring that the workforce remains competitive and proficient. Managing the training budget and resources efficiently is crucial, ensuring cost-effective allocation and utilization. The role demands a proactive approach to fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, promoting the importance of professional growth. Compliance with industry standards, such as API and ISO for pipe manufacturing, is essential, requiring the Assistant Manager to stay abreast of relevant regulations. Collaboration with various departments is necessary to tailor training solutions that meet organizational needs. The role also involves leading with vision and customer focus, aligning training initiatives with strategic objectives and customer requirements. A strong emphasis on quality, health, safety, and environmental orientation is expected, alongside demonstrating business and commercial acumen to understand the impact of training on the organization's success.

Principal Accountabilities
Develop and implement technical training programs to ensure employees possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectivelybrConduct regular assessments to identify training needs and gaps in the organization and design appropriate training programs to address these needsbrManage the training budget and resources ensuring costeffective allocation and utilizationbrAnalyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvementbrFoster a culture of learning and development within the organization promoting the importance of continuous professional growthbrEnsure compliance with all relevant industry standards including API and ISO for pipe manufacturingbrCollaborate with other departments to understand their training needs and develop suitable training solutionsbrLead with vision and customer focus ensuring that all training initiatives align with the organizations strategic objectives and customer needsbrPromote a culture of quality health safety and environmental orientation within the organizationbrDemonstrate strong business and commercial acumen understanding the impact of training initiatives on the organizations bottom linebrUtilize strong analytical skills to solve problems make informed decisions and drive the organizations successbrMaintain uptodate knowledge of accounting terms for the manufacturing industry to ensure accurate financial planning and managementbrEncourage interdependencies within the team fostering a collaborative and supportive work environmentbrShow commitment to the organization demonstrating a high level of dedication and loyaltybrAct as a functional expert in operation and QAQC for the Pipe Industry providing guidance and support to other team members as needed
