About The Opportunity
We operate in the e-commerce and digital retail technology sector, building scalable, omnichannel storefronts and commerce platforms for retail and consumer brands. Our engineering teams deliver high-performance commerce experiences, integrations with payment/search/logistics partners, and optimized catalog & checkout flows.This role is for a Backend Developer focused on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC). Location: India On-site. Join a fast-paced commerce engineering team at Commergence to own backend features, integrations, and platform reliability across live storefronts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain SFCC cartridges and server-side controllers using SFRA and ISML to deliver storefront features and checkout flows.
- Implement and manage integrations with third-party systems using OCAPI/Shop API, REST/SOAP web services, and secure payment gateway connectors.
- Author and optimize back-end code for performance, scalability, and SEOimplement caching strategies, job frameworks, and CDN-aware patterns.
- Create and maintain scheduled jobs, import/export pipelines, and data feeds (catalog, inventory, pricing) via Business Manager and data integration tools.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement monitoring, logging, and automated alerts to reduce MTTR.
- Collaborate with front-end engineers, QA, product owners, and DevOps to deliver CI/CD-driven releases and maintain high-quality code through reviews and automated tests.
