Set up box Developer

Role: STB Developer

Experience: 5-12 years

Location: Chennai/ Bangalore

Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain Set-Top Box software and applications.
• Develop features for IPTV, OTT, Hybrid TV, and Broadcast TV platforms.
• Work on middleware, device drivers, and application frameworks.
• Integrate video streaming technologies and DRM solutions.
• Debug and resolve system-level and application-level issues.
• Collaborate with OEMs, chipset vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Perform performance optimization and memory management activities.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure software quality standards.
• Support deployment, testing, and production issue resolution.

Qualifications :

• Strong programming experience in C/C++.
• Hands-on experience with Linux Embedded Systems.
• Experience in Set-Top Box (STB) Development.
• Knowledge of IPTV, DVB, DTH, OTT, or Broadcast Technologies.
• Experience with RDK (Reference Design Kit) platform.
• Understanding of Video Streaming Protocols:

HLS

MPEG-DASH

RTSP

RTP/UDP

Knowledge of DRM Technologies:

Widevine

PlayReady

Verimatrix

Experience with Git, Jira, and Agile methodologies.

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
