Job Description
Job Purpose:
Lead and drive Mechanical Design & Engineering activities for heavy industrial CAPEX, strategic growth, sustainability, reliability, and improvement projects across the Renukoot complex. Ensure timely delivery of engineering designs, technical specifications, cost estimates, drawings, vendor evaluations, and project execution support while achieving the highest standards of safety, quality, cost optimization, statutory compliance, and schedule adherence. Provide technical leadership, foster innovation, and collaborate with cross functional teams to support successful project implementation and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead feasibility studies, conceptualization, budgeting, and mechanical engineering for project proposals.
- Ensure timely release of basic and detailed engineering drawings, BOM & BOQ, layouts, equipment specifications, and technical documents.
- Review and approve vendor drawings, technical offers, and quality assurance plans.
- Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping, Procurement, and Execution teams for seamless project implementation.
- Drive project cost optimization, safety by design, statutory compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Support brownfield project execution, troubleshooting, shutdown activities, and emergency requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement, digitization, technology adoption, and engineering excellence.
- Develop team capabilities through training, mentoring, and competency enhancement.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through close engagement with plant stakeholders and end users.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Strong experience 10-15 years in Mechanical Design & Engineering, project execution, CAPEX planning, equipment selection, and vendor management.
- Knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO, IS, IBR, PESO, TAC, etc.).
- Strong leadership, project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
