Job Description

Job Summary (ServiceNow Senior Developer - ITOM)

Design, configure, and maintain CMDB architecture, data models, and relationships, ensuring alignment with best practices and KPIs.
Manage and optimize ServiceNow Discovery schedules, credentials, probes, and sensors for accurate CI population.
Integrate CMDB with external data sources using Import Sets, Transform Maps, and APIs.
Implement data certification, reconciliation, and governance processes for the CMDB.
Conduct workshops with stakeholders to identify business services and dependencies.
Configure and maintain Service Mapping patterns, including custom patterns for complex applications.
Ensure the accuracy and currency of service maps for impact analysis and change management.
Customize ServiceNow modules using scripting (JavaScript), Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and Flow Designer.
Develop and maintain integrations for automated CI updates from various sources (monitoring tools, asset systems, cloud platforms).
Support and troubleshoot Discovery and Service Mapping MID Servers.
Apply ServiceNow security best practices, including access controls for CMDB and Service Mapping data.
Collaborate with governance teams to align CMDB and Service Mapping with enterprise architecture standards.
Define and enforce naming conventions, CI class structures, and relationships in the CMDB.
Conduct CMDB health assessments and recommend remediation strategies.
Provide training and documentation on CMDB and Service Mapping processes for operations teams.
Demonstrate strong technical expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and scripting.
Possess knowledge of network protocols and application architectures relevant to ServiceNow ITOM solutions.
