Overview

The ServiceNow Reporting & Platform Analytics Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying ServiceNow reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions across the ServiceNow Platform. The role involves collaborating with users and team members to understand reporting requirements, creating Performance Analytics indicators (manual, formula-based, and automated), leveraging table hierarchy knowledge, and developing elegant solutions that meet business needs. The specialist will also provide insights through integrations with Power BI and other systems, ensuring platform solutions are aligned with business and technology roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirement gathering sessions to provide estimates and advise on reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Analyze technical and functional reporting requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and Performance Analytics indicators in ServiceNow.
  • Configure manual and formula-based indicators to measure KPIs accurately.
  • Leverage ServiceNow table hierarchy and relationships to extract and model data for analytics.
  • Build and enhance dashboards using UI Builder to provide intuitive, user-friendly reporting interfaces.
  • Deploy and test solutions in development and test environments, ensuring quality before production deployment.
  • Follow ITIL processes to ensure governance and adherence to ServiceNow best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and enhance end-user reporting experience.
  • Script using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, and Access Control Lists as needed for reporting and dashboards.
  • Develop integrations with 3rd party tools and ServiceNow-to-ServiceNow integrations using Scripted or OOB REST APIs and SOAP Web Services.
  • Maintain and update configuration and technical documentation.
  • Validate technical solutions prior to deployment.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members on reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Support Go-live and hyper-care phases for reporting and analytics projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, standards, and agile methodologies while adhering to coding and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, platform administrators, and business users to ensure alignment of analytics solutions with business goals.

Qualifications

  • At least 5/+ years experience in developing and administrating the ServiceNow Platform.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or another related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Broad exposure to IT infrastructure and application landscape, ideally with technical depth in a discipline/ITSM process.
