Description

The Product Owner is accountable for ensuring the design identified meets the organizations needs and goals and prioritizes work needed, maximizing business value across service modules (ITSM, ITAM, VR, SPM, etc.), and ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs. You will be responsible for contributing towards and executing the product vision and strategy, collaborating with the delivery team to ensure the roadmap is executed effectively, and overseeing the development process to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. You will help drive adoption, manage change, and ensure alignment with business objectives. You will be a collaborative leader with a deep understanding of the market, user needs, and product development processes. Familiarity with ServiceNow platform capabilitiesparticularly ITSM, SPM, SecOps, and ITAMis essential. You will work closely with the Head of Technology, Principal Architect, Business Owners, Service Automation team and the ServiceNow account team to ensure alignment of vision, scope, and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute towards and executing against the strategic vision and roadmap for the platform, aligning with business objective and priorities
  • You will be working closely with the senior leaders and key team members to craft and deliver stories that help us to achieve our aims and objectives.
  • You will take an active role in assisting the senior leaders with the product/service life cycle involved in planning, process design, deployment, and benefits realization.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture and best practice product management.
  • You will work with the UK, US and India teams as well as the agile coaches to ensure alignment to technical governance and product development processes defined by technical delivery teams.
  • You will work closely with key team members to understand required changes, facilitate communication between the team and the other interested parties and ensure the team is directed to work on the most cost-effective tasks.
  • You will manage the backlog, agree priorities, and ensure that the backlog is ordered correctly.
  • Create user stories to breakdown features and epics into end-to-end functionality.
  • Create user story acceptance criteria using the Given-When-Then Gherkin format.
  • Work with the team to develop UI/UX wireframes and prototypes, ensuring a user centred design approach.


  • Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


    • Minimum of 5 years experience of ServiceNow platform management experience.
    • Minimum of 5 year experience in product management, product ownership, or related role.
    • You will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic that can work with limited supervision.
    • You should have a strong client focus and consistent track record of delivering to user needs
    • You will need to be a skilled problem solver; a key requirement for this role is being able to deconstruct problems into constituent parts to come to the best solution.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are also a requirement.
    • Being focused and accurate, you will need to have a data driven approach to feature development
    • You should have experience of user centred design and have a keen interest in UI design and user experience
    • You will have an open and expansive approach, willing and able to interact internally and externally and at all levels within the company.
    • You will show a highly committed attitude.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience of ServiceNow platform management experience.
    • Minimum of 5 year experience in product management, product ownership, or related role.
    • Experience working in an agile development environment, with a deep understanding of agile development principles and methodologies.
    • Experience with product and project management tools
    • Familiarity with product development processes, including user research, user experience design, and software development.
    • Measure success through adoption rates, process automation improvements, and stakeholder satisfaction.
    • Track business value and ROI across Dynamics modules.
    • Ability to communicate and work with multiple levels of management, showing ownership and responsibility for the product and the team.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience of ServiceNow platform management experience.
    • Minimum of 5 year experience in product management, product ownership, or related role.
