In this role, the ideal candidate will not only be responsible for building and delivering high-quality ServiceNow solutions but the ideal candidate will be playing a strategic role in guiding our ServiceNow practice, helping define standards, drive platform governance, and support the scaling of ServiceNow solutions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the ServiceNow team, ensuring high-quality delivery, scalability, and alignment with industry best practices.
- Own the overall ServiceNow strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals and technology vision.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable, customized ServiceNow solutions tailored to evolving business needs.
- Work across multiple ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, GRC, and more.
- Drive architectural decisions and establish development standards across the ServiceNow platform.
- Develop custom applications using ServiceNow Studio, App Engine, and IntegrationHub.
- Create and manage complex workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, data policies, and REST/SOAP integrations.
- Conduct root cause analysis, performance tuning, and implement long-term solutions to address recurring system issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including BAs, PMs, Solution Architects, and stakeholders to capture and deliver business requirements.
- Own and oversee ServiceNow platform governance, including access control, configuration management, and compliance.
- Define and implement ServiceNow development lifecycle processes, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Mentor and guide ServiceNow developers and admins, ensuring skill development and adherence to standards.
- Drive pre-sales efforts, including client presentations, solutioning, proposals, and estimations.
- Identify and evaluate new features in ServiceNow releases, and plan for upgrades and adoption of new capabilities.
- Monitor license usage and work with ServiceNow and internal procurement teams for renewals and compliance.
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure the success and health of the ServiceNow practice.
- Build and nurture client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
- Lead internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and build reusable assets, accelerators, and best practices.
Key Skills Required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with ServiceNow in a development role.
- Proven expertise in multiple ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CMDB).
- Strong command of JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, and web technologies.
- Experience with system integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and MID Servers.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer & Certified System Administrator are mandatory; additional certifications (CIS-ITSM, CIS-CSM,(CAS-PA,CIS-CPG) are a plus.
- Understanding of software development principles, Agile methodology, and version control systems like Git.
