ServiceNow HRSD Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow HRSD Developer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining ServiceNow Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) solutions that streamline HR processes, enhance user experience, and drive operational efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR service management workflows, ServiceNow platform architecture, and integration best practices. You will collaborate closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. Your expertise will directly impact how employees access HR services, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent delivery of HR support. This role is critical to our digital transformation journey and plays a key part in building a modern, agile, and employee-centric HR service ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow HRSD modules including HR Service Portal, HR Case Management, HR Workflows, and HR Catalog Items.
• Customize and extend HRSD applications using ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript), UI Policies, Business Rules, and Client Scripts.
• Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow HRSD and external systems such as HRIS (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors), payroll platforms, and identity management systems.
• Collaborate with HR business analysts and process owners to gather requirements, map workflows, and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, data privacy standards, and ServiceNow best practices.
• Perform system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for production issues related to HRSD applications.
• Document system designs, configurations, and technical specifications for knowledge transfer and future maintenance.
• Stay current with ServiceNow product releases, new features, and platform updates relevant to HRSD.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities and optimizing HR service delivery processes.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development with a focus on HR Service Delivery (HRSD) or HR Service Management (HRSM).
• Proven experience in designing and implementing HRSD solutions including HR Cases, HR Catalog, Service Portal, and workflow automation.
• Strong proficiency in ServiceNow scripting languages: JavaScript (GlideScript), Server-Side Scripts, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Flow Designer.
• Experience with ServiceNow integration technologies including REST/SOAP web services, MID Server, and Integration Hub.
• In-depth knowledge of HR business processes such as onboarding, offboarding, employee requests, leave management, and HR inquiries.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow application development lifecycle (SDLC), version control (e.g., Git), and change management practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist – HRSD) are highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across IT and HR teams.
• Experience working in an enterprise environment with complex, multi-tiered ServiceNow implementations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
