ServiceNow Developer (Onsite - Bengaluru)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Platform Development & Configuration: Design, develop, and configure core ServiceNow applications, including IT Service Management (ITSM), and potentially modules like IT Operations Management (ITOM), Customer Service Management (CSM), or Performance Analytics.
  2. Scripting and Automation: Develop, customise, and maintain platform functionalities using JavaScript, GlideScript, AJAX, and other relevant web technologies (HTML, CSS).
  3. Workflow Implementation: Create and manage complex workflows, Flow Designer flows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Scheduled Jobs for process automation.
  4. Service Catalog Management: Develop, manage, and configure Service Catalog Items, Record Producers, Order Guides, and their underlying request fulfillment workflows, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  5. Integration: Implement and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems (e.g., Azure AD, MS Teams) using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, Import Sets, and Transform Maps.
  6. Reporting and UI: Design and develop engaging Service Portals (leveraging UX principles), Reports, and Dashboards for data analysis and end-user experience.
  7. Administration & Support: Handle user administration, security (ACLs, roles), data imports/exports, and provide technical support/troubleshooting for incidents.
  8. Quality Assurance: Lead and contribute to the adoption of Automated Test Framework (ATF) and Test Management processes within an Agile or DevSecOps workflow.
  9. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical/functional documentation and provide guidance and training to end-users and team members.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in JavaScript and GlideScript.
  • Core ServiceNow: Expertise in developing on key components like Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
  • Data Management: Proven experience with Import Sets and Transform Maps.
  • ITSM Focus: Solid understanding and experience with ITIL processes, specifically Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certifications:
  • Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - IT Service Management.
  • Module Experience: Experience with Performance Analytics, Virtual Agent, and CMDB configuration.
  • Integration Knowledge: Experience with Azure AD Integration and other third-party system integrations.
  • Methodology: Experience working in an Agile environment and knowledge of DevSecOps practices.
