ServiceNow Developer

Experience: 35 Years

Location: gurgaon

Education: MCA / B.E / B.Tech (IT / Computer Science)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable and secure ServiceNow solutions that support IT service management and enterprise automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, QA, and platform teams to translate requirements into high-quality ServiceNow applications while adhering to best practices, security standards, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand business requirements and user stories
  • Follow project guidelines, development standards, and defined ways of working
  • Adhere to ServiceNow development best practices and platform governance
  • Perform self-testing, support UAT, and actively participate in code reviews
  • Ensure delivery of solutions that meet quality standards, timelines, and project commitments
  • Continuously upskill using organizational learning platforms and resources
  • Comply with company security, risk, and compliance policies

Technical Responsibilities

  • Configure, customize, and maintain:
  • Forms, lists, and tables
  • Service Portal components
  • Instance-level configurations
  • Dashboards and reports
  • Workflows and Flow Designer automations
  • Design and implement integrations using:
  • IntegrationHub
  • Custom REST/SOAP APIs and external system connections
  • Develop and configure:
  • Chat solutions and incident summarization features
  • AI Agents using ServiceNow's AI and Generative AI capabilities
  • Implement and manage security controls, including:
  • Roles, ACLs, data policies, and data masking
  • Perform basic instance administration and platform maintenance tasks
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and performance issues

ITSM Module Configuration

  • Configure and customize core ITSM modules, including:
  • Incident Management
  • Problem Management
  • Change Management
  • Request Fulfillment

Required Technical Skills

Scripting & Front-End

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • JavaScript
  • AngularJS
  • Jelly Scripting
  • HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
  • ServiceNow UI Builder Framework

Core Platform Development

  • Expertise in:
  • Business Rules
  • Client Scripts
  • Script Includes
  • UI Policies & UI Actions
  • Data Policies

Modules & Features

  • Experience with:
  • Service Portal
  • Service Catalog
  • Catalog Items & Record Producers

Development Tools

  • Proficiency in:
  • Flow Designer
  • Workflow Editor

Functional Skills

  • Working knowledge of project management and development tools (e.g., JIRA or similar)
  • Understanding of ITIL, DevOps, and service management best practices
  • Strong ability to produce clear technical documentation, including design and solution artifacts
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Certifications

Must Have

  • ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator)
  • CAD (Certified Application Developer)
