Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in Discovery and Service Mapping to design, implement, and maintain ITOM solutions that ensure accurate CMDB data and end-to-end service visibility.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement and configure ServiceNow Discovery (Horizontal & Vertical Discovery).
- Design, develop, and maintain Service Mapping (Top-down & Pattern-based) for business services.
- Ensure CMDB health by managing identification rules, reconciliation, and data normalization.
- Create and manage Discovery Patterns, probes, sensors, and schedules.
- Integrate ServiceNow Discovery with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GC[Confidential Information]P) and on-prem infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot Discovery and Service Mapping issues and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to onboard services.
- Support ITOM processes including Event Management, CMDB Governance, and Impact Analysis.
- Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow ITOM Discovery & Service Mapping
- Good knowledge of CMDB, CSDM framework, and data models
- Experience with MID Server, credentials, and network configurations
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs
- Understanding of Windows, Linux, Unix, Network & Cloud environments
- Experience with Pattern-based Discovery & Mapping
Good to Have
- Experience in ITOM Event Management
- ServiceNow ITOM certification
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD tools
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
