Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to support ongoing development, configuration, and enhancement of ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the ServiceNow platform, be eager to learn, and work closely with senior developers, architects, and business analysts to deliver high-quality solutions for global customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, configuration, and customization of ServiceNow applications, including modules like Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and CMDB.

  • Work with Senior Developers and Architects to design and implement workflows, business rules, and integrations.

  • Support Service Portal development, including widgets, client/server scripting, and UI customization.

  • Participate in requirement analysis sessions and translate functional needs into technical tasks.

  • Perform unit testing, UAT support, and issue resolution during implementation and post-deployment phases.

  • Maintain clear and concise technical documentation for developed features.

  • Support integration activities with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including root cause analysis.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ServiceNow best practices.

Required Skills

  • 24 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development.

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow concepts such as Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and Catalog Development.

  • Familiarity with Service Portal development (widgets, HTML, CSS, AngularJS).

  • Exposure to REST/SOAP integration with external systems.

  • Good understanding of ITSM modules (Incident, Change, Problem, Request).

  • Basic knowledge of database concepts (SQL).

  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a global, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Skills

  • ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) certification (preferred).

  • ITIL Foundation certification (preferred).

  • Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.

  • Exposure to Performance Analytics or Discovery is a plus.
