ServiceNow Developer - ITSM

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and customize solutions on the ServiceNow platform

• Build and maintain workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and integrations

• Develop scalable and reusable ServiceNow applications and modules

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Configure and enhance ITSM/ITOM/HRSD or other ServiceNow modules as required

• Ensure platform stability, performance optimization, and zero-defect delivery

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and architects

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups

• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, defects, and performance bottlenecks

• Mentor junior developers and support team capability building on ServiceNow technologies

• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and development standards

• Ensure adherence to coding standards, governance policies, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have

• 7–12 years of overall IT experience with strong ServiceNow development expertise

• Hands-on experience in:

o ServiceNow Platform Development

o ServiceNow Configuration & Customization o Workflow Development

o Catalog Items & Record Producers

o Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies

o Flow Designer & Integration Hub

o REST/SOAP API Integrations

• Strong understanding of:

o ITSM processes

o ServiceNow architecture and data model

o SDLC and Agile methodologies

• Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to mentor and guide team members

Good to Have

• Experience working with the Health and Safety Module in ServiceNow

• Exposure to ITOM, GRC, HRSD, CMDB, or SecOps modules

• ServiceNow certifications such as:

o CSA (Certified System Administrator)

o CAD (Certified Application Developer)

o CIS Certifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
