ServiceNow Developer

This role will focus primarily on the development of a custom application built on the ServiceNow platform that supports client campaign management, engagement tracking, reporting, and analytics for one of our leading financial services clients. Approximately 80% of the role will involve hands-on application development, requiring the individual to design solutions, build workflows, develop backend data structures, troubleshoot issues, and create scalable functionality that supports a large user base. The remaining 20% will involve working with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand client needs, and translate those requirements into technical solutions. The successful candidate will develop ServiceNow dashboards and reporting capabilities, build campaign management functionality, create and maintain data structures that track campaign performance and user engagement, and develop authentication, access control, workflow automation, business rules, and integrations with other enterprise systems. This individual will play a key role in designing the application's architecture and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate the build process.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• 3+ years experience in hands on Java experience
• Experience using ServiceNow SDK or other AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms to write detailed prompts, requirements, and specifications to build custom applications
• Experience building custom applications and delivering complex ServiceNow projects including the ability to work independently
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise applications, APIs, and backend systems.
• Experience building dashboards, analytics, reporting, user authentication, and access control functionality.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow workflows, playbooks, scripting, and business rules as well as experience working with ITSM and CSM.
• Experience working within highly regulated environments such as Financial Services, Consulting, Healthcare, or Life Sciences.
• Experience working with Atlassian tools, particularly Confluence.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
