About The Role
We are urgently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Remote Senior ServiceNow Developer specializing in SecOps & GRC for an international organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design, development, and enhancement of ServiceNow security operations and governance, risk, and compliance modules. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, automation, and integrations, with a focus on delivering scalable, upgrade-safe solutions. As a remote contractor, you will work full-time during CET working hours, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement best practices in security and compliance workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with the ServiceNow platform, particularly in SecOps and GRC modules.
- Proven expertise in solution architecture, designing end-to-end workflows that are configuration-based, upgrade-safe, and aligned with ServiceNow best practices.
- Extensive experience with integrations and automation, including vulnerability scanners, SIEM tools, Flow Designer, Playbooks, and Integration Hub.
- Strong scripting skills with a focus on maintaining high-quality, secure, and maintainable code.
- Basic understanding of ITIL principles and practices, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and enhancement of ServiceNow SecOps, with a primary focus on Vulnerability Response (VR) and Security Incident Response (SIR) modules.
- Own the end-to-end solution delivery for SecOps workflows, including intake, correlation, prioritization, remediation, and reporting.
- Design and support GRC capabilities such as Policy & Compliance, Risk Assessment, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), and Business Continuity Management (BCM), ensuring traceability across risks, controls, and issues.
- Act as an independent solution designer, making architecture decisions aligned with ServiceNow best practices and scalable platform design.
- Review business and security requirements to ensure a configuration-first approach, challenging unnecessary customizations to minimize technical debt.
- Implement integrations with security tools such as Tenable and other relevant platforms, leveraging Flow Designer, Playbooks, and Integration Hub for automation purposes.
- Develop high-quality, upgrade-safe solutions primarily through configuration, resorting to scripting only when strictly necessary, and adhering to ServiceNow development standards.
- Ensure effective use of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) to enable accurate risk and vulnerability prioritization.
- Collaborate with Security, Risk, Compliance, and Audit stakeholders to translate domain requirements into effective platform solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, support platform governance, and ensure solutions are secure, compliant, performant, and audit-ready.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather, refine, and document requirements through user stories and technical documentation.
- Maintain and update comprehensive technical documentation for all implemented features and improvements.
- Contribute to the development of standardized processes and reusable solutions to optimize platform efficiency.
- Support testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect resolution, to ensure quality deliverables.
