ServiceNow Developer

Role Overview

MT is seeking a motivated ServiceNow Developer to support the design, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. This role is ideal for a developer who thrives in collaborative environments, working alongside senior ServiceNow resources and administrators to deliver workflows, applications, and platform improvements that enhance organizational efficiency.

The position emphasizes hands-on delivery, routine development, and maintenance activities within a mature team structure. It is designed as a capacity-building role, not a standalone technical owner.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and configure ServiceNow applications, workflows, and forms using Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and UI Policies.
• Build and maintain custom applications and modules on the Now Platform.
• Support ITSM processes including incident, problem, and change management.
• Write and maintain automation and integration scripts using JavaScript and GlideScript.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting platform issues.
• Support and develop AppEngine capabilities.
• Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Assist with ServiceNow upgrades, patches, and instance maintenance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations and customizations.
• Follow ITSM best practices and internal development standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
• Basic understanding of JavaScript and web development concepts.
• Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM processes.
• Knowledge of relational databases and scripting logic.
• Experience in configuration, scripting, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desirable Skills

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
• Exposure to ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, and CSM.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with REST and SOAP web services and integration concepts.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for Service Portal work.
