ServiceNow Developer Job Description
We are hiring an experienced
ServiceNow Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, implementation, customization, and integration. The ideal candidate should have expertise in
ServiceNow ITSM, HRSD, ITAM, and ITOM modules and possess strong technical skills in JavaScript, Glide API, ServiceNow workflows, and integrations.
The candidate will be responsible for configuring, developing, optimizing, and maintaining ServiceNow applications while collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient ServiceNow solutions.
Key Responsibilities of the ServiceNow Developer
- Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow solutions tailored to business requirements.
- Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, workflows, UI Policies, Business Rules, and Client Scripts.
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party applications using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and MID Servers.
- Configure and maintain CMDB, Discovery, Service Catalog, Orchestration, and Automation workflows.
- Develop custom applications and modules using JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow best practices.
- Optimize ServiceNow platform performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Implement Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Request Management, Asset Management, and Configuration Management workflows.
- Configure HR Service Delivery (HRSD) workflows to enhance employee experiences.
- Develop IT Operations Management (ITOM) capabilities including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and AIOps.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across ServiceNow modules.
- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow releases, platform enhancements, and industry best practices.
Required Skills And Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow Development and Implementation.
- Expertise in ServiceNow ITSM, HRSD, ITAM, and ITOM modules.
- Strong experience with JavaScript, Glide API, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Workflows.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external applications using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Catalog customization.
- Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Service Portal customization.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and Reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Certifications (Preferred)
- ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 Certification.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ServiceNow Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
- Experience with ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps).
- Knowledge of AI/ML-based automation within the ServiceNow platform.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
