Role Summary & Role Description
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Administrator to support the accuracy, reliability, and operational integrity of the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role is focused on maintaining highquality configuration data that underpins ITSM, ITAM, and ITOM Health processes, including hardware and software asset lifecycle management and operational service support.
In this role, you will work as part of a geographically distributed team of ServiceNow administrators and engineers, executing daytoday CMDB administration activities. You will support Discovery and inbound data sources, resolve CMDB data quality issues, and ensure CMDB standards and controls are consistently applied. Strong emphasis is placed on data quality, traceability, and governance practices to support audit, risk, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring configuration items (CIs) are accurate, current, and complete across supported CI classes.
Perform daytoday CMDB maintenance including discovery schedule reviews, leveraging Discovery workspace, normalization, and retirement.
Configure and maintain CI Class Manager, class attributes, reference qualifiers, and relationship rules.
Monitor CMDB Health metrics (Completeness, Correctness, Compliance) and execute corrective actions.
Investigate and resolve CMDB data discrepancies caused by discovery, integrations, or manual updates.
Support audits and risk reviews through CMDB reporting, evidence, and data lineage.
Administer and support ServiceNow Discovery including schedules, credentials, probes, sensors, and IP ranges.
Troubleshoot Discovery failures and data population issues for onprem infrastructure and supported environments.
Support inbound CMDB data sources and integrations, ensuring data is normalized and reconciled appropriately.
Serve as the primary point of contact for CMDBrelated questions, issues, and data requests.
Enforce CMDB governance standards and usage guidelines across consuming teams.

Identify recurring CMDB data issues and create defects for lead and, or, manager to review.
Support adoption of Common Service Data Model (CSDM) standards where applicable.
Stay current with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and ITOM Health enhancements.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience working in ServiceNow with a focus on CMDB and configuration data management.
2+ years of experience administering ServiceNow CMDB in a dedicated CMDB or configuration management role.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITAM, and ITOM Health.
Strong understanding of CMDB data models, CI Class Manager, relationships, and CSDM concepts.
Handson experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB Health.
Certifications (Required):
