Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Business Analyst to work in a client-facing role, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and Development teams within an Agile delivery model.
- The candidate will be responsible for gathering business requirements, translating them into well-defined user stories, and ensuring successful delivery of ServiceNow solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering and Analysis
- Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and discussions with clients to understand business needs
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories
Agile Delivery Support
- Work closely with Product Owners to refine and maintain the product backlog
- Define and document user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria in JIRA
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned with business objectives
ServiceNow Functional Expertise
- Provide functional expertise across key ServiceNow modules:
- ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request)
- CMDB
- ITOM
- SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management)
- IRM (Integrated Risk Management)
- Integration Hub
- Support solution design discussions with Technical Leads and Developers
- Ensure best practices are followed in ServiceNow implementations
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Communicate requirements, priorities, and changes effectively
- Manage expectations and ensure alignment across all stakeholders
Documentation and Quality Assurance
- Create and maintain clear documentation including BRDs, FRDs, and process flows
- Validate delivered solutions against requirements and acceptance criteria
- Support UAT activities and ensure successful sign-offs
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical and Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform and modules (CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, SPM, IRM, Integration Hub)
- Hands-on experience with JIRA for managing requirements, user stories, and Agile workflows
- Familiarity with end-to-end ServiceNow implementation lifecycle
Business Analysis Skills
- Proven experience in requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation
- Strong ability to write clear and detailed user stories with acceptance criteria
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong client-facing experience with the ability to lead discussions and workshops
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, CIS in ITSM or other modules)
- Experience with integrations and API-based solutions
- Exposure to enterprise IT environments and digital transformation initiatives
