Overview

This role is for a ServiceNow SAM Pro specialist focused on software licensing, entitlement management, discovery normalization, and compliance reporting. The candidate should have strong experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, Content Service, software models, normalization rules, and license reconciliation. Ideal profiles typically come from IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, or Software Licensing backgrounds in large enterprise environments.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), Software Licensing, or IT Asset Management.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro.
• Strong experience with:
• Entitlement creation and management
• Software Models
• Publisher Part Numbers
• Discovery Model Normalization
• Normalization Rules
• ServiceNow Content Service
• License Reconciliation
• Working knowledge of software licensing models, including:

Per User

Per Device

Subscription

Perpetual Licensing

Capacity-Based Licensing

• Strong understanding of publisher product hierarchies, editions, versions, and software catalog management.
• Ability to interpret contracts, software license agreements, procurement documents, and purchasing records.
• Experience researching and resolving software discoveries without content library matches.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to audit-ready data quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across Procurement, Finance, IT, and Asset Management functions.
• Availability to support global teams with overlap during core business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITAM/SAM certifications.
• ServiceNow SAM Professional Certification.
• Experience supporting software compliance audits from major publishers (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP, Adobe, VMware).
• Experience in enterprise-scale SAM programs and software optimization initiatives.
• Knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and CMDB processes.
