Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer specializing in Service Order Management (SOM) within the Telecom domain. The candidate should have strong experience in Telco BSS processes, order orchestration, and service fulfillment using the ServiceNow platform. The role involves designing and implementing SOM workflows, integrating with telecom OSS/BSS systems, and supporting large-scale ServiceNow implementations for telecom service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
ServiceNow Development & Configuration
* Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications using:
o Flow Designer
o Integration Hub
o Business Rules
o Client Scripts
o UI Policies
o Custom Tables
o ACLs
* Configure and enhance Service Order Management (SOM) modules for telecom use cases. Telecom Order Management Implementation
* Design and implement SOM workflows for telecom service fulfillment.
* Configure order orchestration and service provisioning flows.
* Manage order lifecycle including order capture, decomposition, orchestration, and activation.
* Ensure alignment with telecom BSS processes. Integrations & API Development
* Develop REST/SOAP integrations with telecom systems such as:
o Order management systems
o Service activation systems
o Billing and CRM platforms
* Work with TM Forum Open APIs such as:
o TMF640 Service Activation
o TMF622 Product Ordering
o TMF638 Service Inventory Stakeholder Engagement & Solution Design
* Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, and telecom stakeholders.
* Participate in design workshops and technical solution discussions.
* Support technical documentation and design specifications. Quality Assurance & Deployment
* Perform unit testing and support UAT cycles.
* Prepare deployment packages and release documentation.
* Support CI/CD pipelines and release management.
* Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
* 5 years of ServiceNow development experience
* Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Service Order Management (SOM)
* Solid understanding of Telecom BSS processes
* Experience with Service orchestration and order fulfillment
* Proficiency in:
o JavaScript
o AngularJS
o Glide scripting
* Knowledge of ServiceNow data model and performance optimization
* Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments Preferred Qualifications
* ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
* CSA or CIS certifications
* Experience with telecom platforms such as:
o Amdocs
o Netcracker
o Ericsson
o Nokia OSS
* Experience in Telco BSS development and transformation programs
* Knowledge of Fiber services and Data Centre product offerings Soft Skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to independently lead technical discussions
* Strong interest in telecom technologies
* Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
