Service Now Developer - UI/UX Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow Developer with 8+ years of experience, specializing in UI/UX development on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in UI Builder, Service Portal, and front-end scripting to create engaging and scalable user experiences. This role requires a strong mix of technical proficiency, design thinking, and collaboration skills to translate complex business needs into intuitive ServiceNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain custom applications, portals, and experiences using UI Builder and Service Portal.

Create modern, responsive UI components with HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.

Translate business requirements into user-friendly and visually appealing interface designs.

Develop Catalog Items, Widgets, UI Policies, Client Scripts, and UI Actions.

Utilize GlideRecord, GlideForm, and GlideAjax APIs for dynamic UI behavior.

Optimize performance and accessibility across web and mobile experiences.

Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other developers in Agile teams.

Mentor junior developers and uphold coding standards and UX consistency.

Ensure solutions align with ServiceNow best practices and enterprise design systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, including 3+ years in UI/UX-focused roles.

Strong expertise in Service Portal and UI Builder.

Solid proficiency in JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and REST/SOAP APIs.

Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, scoped applications, and Glide APIs.

Experience with key modules like ITSM, HRSD, or CSM.

Strong analytical, debugging, and performance tuning skills.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to design systems (e.g., Material Design, Carbon) or Figma prototyping.
