Role Overview
The role involves ensuring smooth workshop operations, high-quality vehicle servicing, excellent customer experience, and adherence to OEM/service standards. The candidate will be responsible for managing workflow, maintaining productivity, and coordinating with internal departments to deliver efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Workshop Operations
- Manage daily workshop activities, job card flow, and work allocation.
- Ensure timely vehicle servicing & repair as per SOPs.
- Monitor repair quality, road tests, and final inspection.
- Maintain workshop safety, cleanliness, and 5S standards.
- Customer Handling
- Interact with customers to understand service requirements.
- Provide technical explanations and repair estimations.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure high CSI scores.
- Maintain regular communication on vehicle status and delivery.
- Team Coordination
- Supervise technicians, advisors, floor controllers, and helpers.
- Conduct team training, motivate staff, and monitor performance.
- Ensure discipline, productivity, and teamwork.
- Parts & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with the Parts Department for timely availability.
- Reduce pending jobs due to parts issues.
- Ensure correct parts usage and shortage management.
- Revenue & Reporting
- Achieve labour, parts, and workshop revenue targets.
- Promote upselling of VAS, AMC, Wheel Care, RSA, etc.
- Generate daily MIS reports and submit to management.
- Compliance & Audits
- Ensure adherence to OEM guidelines and dealership policies.
- Maintain documentation for warranty, audits, and claims.
- Follow safety standards, SOPs, and compliance norms.

Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI/Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: (Specify) - typically 2 to 10+ years depending on role.
- Experience in a dealership workshop preferred.
