It is a technology-oriented project executing company involved in the design and construction of plants for fertilizer, green chemicals, petrochemicals in India and abroad with technologies for DAP-NPK, Green Ammonia, Hydrogen etc. in its portfolio. It offers a range of services viz. EPC / EPCM / PMC and has successfully executed more than 850 projects with its technologies or from other world-class Licensors.
Role & Technical Responsibilities:
- In your role as Expert – SAP CO (Controlling), you take on the holistic support and further development of the SAP CO module. Analysis, conceptual design, and implementation of internal business requirements fall within your area of responsibility.
- You validate complex technical solution designs from suppliers with regards to the SAP CO module and interfaces and develop your own concepts within the context of the SAP CO module, including their implementation.
- You lead workshops and discovery sessions to translate business needs into technical specifications for process and functional needs analysis with business process owners.
- You support and advise on SAP modules and implement business process requirements technically with the required configurations. You assist in the development of in-house enhancements and work closely with our development teams.
- You implement improvements in business processes by managing internal and external service providers, with a focus on and responsibility for the CO (Controlling) area in the S/4HANA environment, and are responsible for tests and approvals (unit, integration, and acceptance tests).
- You ensure knowledge transfer through training and workshops for key users, as well as onboarding junior experts within the company.
- You perform error analyses in 3rd-level support, coordinate testing, debugging, and data validation activities, and ensure the audit-compliant implementation of all measures in the SAP modules.
- Participation in SAP rollouts and transformation projects (e.g., S/4HANA migration).
- Ability to collaborate with global cross-functional teams and present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Given the global matrix IT organization and the associated international service teams you will be reporting to different Uhde stakeholders:
- Functional: IT service leader.
- Disciplinary: Leadership located in India.
- You report service-specific KPIs and overall status to your respective IT service leader.
- Executing project management tasks for small and medium-sized projects.
- Ideally, you have at least two years of professional experience in SAP ABAP programming and/or SAP Fiori programming.
Requirements
- Qualification: Engineering Graduate – IT, Computer Science, business informatics, mathematics, or communications engineering and have at least 5 years of professional experience
- You bring deep process understanding regarding common SAP products and modules—especially CO (Controlling) including CO-PA in the S/4HANA environment, as well as integration with FI PS, MM and SD.
- You are proficient in customizing, process design, and methodical consulting.
- You are characterized by strong communication skills, customer orientation, and a professional appearance. You have fluent English skills, written and spoken, for customer communication at business and management levels.
- You are an expert in common IT methodologies such as ITIL and apply them confidently in daily work.
- You have practical experience in delivering IT services and possess an advanced understanding of IT service operations.
- You work independently and in a structured manner and have strong strategic thinking skills.
- Initial experience in leading colleagues is an advantage.
- Experience in managing SAP processes in a global or multi-country environment
- IFRS knowledge is a plus.
