Job Description

Experience: 24 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Instrumentation

Job Purpose

To ensure successful installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of pharmaceutical machinery at customer sites, while delivering excellent technical support and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and startup of pharmaceutical machinery at customer sites.
  • Ensure machines are installed as per technical drawings, SOPs, and validation requirements.
  • Conduct machine trials, FAT/SAT support, and ensure smooth handover to customers.
  • Train customer operators and maintenance teams on machine operation, safety, and basic troubleshooting.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation issues.
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers.
  • Analyze machine breakdowns and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues to minimize machine downtime.

Customer Support & Application Understanding

  • Understand machine applications, customer processes, and production requirements.
  • Support customers in process optimization and performance improvement.
  • Act as the technical interface between customer and internal departments (Design, Production, QA).

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain service reports, commissioning documents, and visit summaries.
  • Record machine performance data, issues, and solution history.
  • Follow GMP, safety, and company SOPs during service activities.

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and management.
  • Provide clear technical explanations and guidance to customers.
  • Represent the company professionally at customer sites.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of pharma machinery (Packaging, Tablet, Capsule, Liquid, or related equipment).
  • Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
  • Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and manuals.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and customerhandling skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work at customer sites

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in pharmaceutical machinery manufacturing or service
  • Exposure to automation, PLC troubleshooting, HMI, and VFDs
  • Customercentric attitude with a focus on quality service delivery
