Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer with hands-on experience in lithium battery systems and inverter technologies. The candidate will be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and after-sales service of lithium batteries, battery management systems (BMS), and inverter-integrated energy storage solutions.

Reports To: Service Manager / Operations Head

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and service lithium-ion battery packs and inverter systems at customer sites.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance, health check-ups, and testing of energy storage systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to batteries, inverters, and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
  • Train customers and local technicians on safe operation, handling, and maintenance of lithium batteries and inverters.
  • Coordinate with R&D and Quality teams for field feedback, product improvements, and failure analysis.
  • Maintain service logs, prepare technical reports, and document service history.
  • Provide remote/telephonic customer support for troubleshooting and warranty queries.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, electrical standards, and company guidelines during field work.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics
  • 25 years of experience in servicing UPS systems, solar inverters, or ESS (Energy Storage Systems) with batteries.
  • Strong knowledge of DC systems, power electronics, and inverter-battery integration.
  • Familiarity with lithium battery safety, cell balancing, and BMS.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and customer relationship management.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for field service and customer visits.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on knowledge of solar-hybrid and UPS inverters.
  • Experience in energy storage projects (residential/commercial/industrial).
  • Familiarity with testing tools (multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, battery analyzer).
