Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of industrial combustion systems, burners and fuel trains.
- Execute process engineering and commissioning activities for combustion systems at customer sites.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance as per established service protocols.
- Perform complete combustion analysis, evaluate drafting and recommend improvements to optimize burner performance and control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, piping and combustion system schematics.
- Troubleshoot systems effectively even when complete schematics are not available.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
- Participate in modernization, modification and upgrading of existing burner installations.
- Identify and recommend required/suggested spare parts to customers and contribute to development of new service opportunities.
- Conduct technical training for Junior and Trainee Service Engineers and support other employees in understanding and operating combustion systems and fuel trains.
- Coordinate with internal teams and customers to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Travel on short notice as required for customer visits, including occasional travel across India or overseas.
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial burner / combustion systems.
- Candidates with experience working with burner manufacturers or service organizations such as Bentone, Unigas, ELCO, Ecoflam, Weishaupt, etc. will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of burners, combustion systems, fuel trains and associated controls.
- Ability to read and understand technical schematics and troubleshoot independently.
- Good understanding of combustion analysis and burner optimization.
- Good English reading and writing skills.
- Willingness to work in a field-service environment and travel as required.
- Field-service role involving regular visits to customer sites.
- May require overtime, weekend work and on-call support depending on customer requirements.
- Exposure to high-temperature, industrial and noisy working environments may occur.
