Role Description
This is a field-based role providing nationwide technical support across India. The Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our machinery, delivering on-site troubleshooting and technical assistance to ensure peak equipment performance and client satisfaction. Strong problem-solving abilities and clear customer communication are essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site installation, commissioning, and testing of flat glass processing machines in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers during the installation and commissioning process to ensure smooth operation and optimal performance of the equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical, electrical, or technical issues that may arise during installation or commissioning, collaborating with the engineering team as needed.
- Offer training sessions to customers on the operation, maintenance, and safety protocols of the installed machinery.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or inquiries they may have regarding the equipment or its operation.
- Document installation and commissioning procedures, including equipment configurations, troubleshooting steps, and customer feedback, to facilitate continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the organization.
- Coordinate closely with project managers and sales teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in on-site installation and commissioning of industrial machinery, preferably within the flat glass processing or similar industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Experience and understanding of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and protocols in all aspects of job performance.
- English language proficiency both written and verbal.
