Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Hyderabad for a Server Management Engineer. The Server Management Engineer will be responsible for monitoring server performance, optimizing server operations, managing network and information security, and troubleshooting technical issues. Additional responsibilities include maintaining system updates, implementing server security protocols, and ensuring optimal server uptime to support business operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux)
- Monitor server performance, uptime, and resource utilization
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, and system upgrades
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application-level issues
- Manage user access, permissions, and server security configurations
- Handle backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
- Maintain server logs, documentation, and standard operating procedures
- Support deployment of applications and infrastructure changes
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
- Collaborate with network and cloud teams for infrastructure optimization
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
- Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls)
- Experience with server monitoring tools and performance tuning
- Familiarity with backup solutions and disaster recovery processes
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-integrated environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to security practices and vulnerability management
- Relevant certifications (MCSE, RHCE, VMware, etc.)

- 36 years of experience in server management or system administration
