SEO Specialist Technical SEO & Publisher Experience

Daily Thanthi is one of India's leading Tamil news publishers, with a strong presence across print and digital platforms. We are looking for an SEO professional to strengthen the organic visibility and search performance of our digital properties.

We are looking for an SEO Specialist with strong Technical SEO and Publisher SEO experience. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Google Search Console, Google algorithm updates, AMP, Google News, Google Discover, Core Web Vitals, AEO and GEO.

• Manage and optimise Technical SEO for large-scale publisher/news websites.
• Monitor and analyse Google Core Updates and other search algorithm updates and identify required actions.
• Manage Google Search Console, including indexing, crawling, sitemaps, search performance and Core Web Vitals.
• Work on AMP implementation, optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Optimise websites for Google News and Google Discover.
• Conduct technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexation, canonicalisation, redirects, structured data, internal linking and site architecture.
• Monitor and improve PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals.
• Work with editorial, product and development teams to implement SEO recommendations.
• Support AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies.
• Stay updated with Google Search, AI Overviews and emerging AI search trends.
• Analyse organic traffic, rankings, CTR and search visibility using GSC, GA4 and SEO tools.
• Prepare SEO reports and identify opportunities for organic growth.

• 2–4 years of hands-on SEO experience.
• Strong knowledge of Technical SEO and Publisher/News SEO.
• Practical experience with Google Search Console and GA4.
• Experience with AMP, Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed optimisation.
• Good understanding of Google News, Google Discover and structured data.
• Knowledge of AEO and GEO.
• Strong understanding of crawling, indexing and search engine algorithms.
• Experience working with developers and editorial teams.
• Knowledge of tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog and Google PageSpeed Insights is preferred.

Experience working with news, media, publishing or high-traffic content websites will be an advantage.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
