Job Title: SEO Operations & Delivery Lead

Location: Remote

Type: Full-time

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly structured, proactive SEO Operations & Delivery Lead to manage the day-to-day operations of our SEO vertical. This role is less about hands-on SEO execution and more about ensuring smooth operations, high-quality delivery, strong team performance, and effective cross-vertical coordination.

The ideal candidate is a strong operator and project manager who understands SEO fundamentals, can manage a team of 810 specialists, streamline workflows, build operational visibility, and drive predictable outcomes across large-scale client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Operations & Delivery

Own day-to-day delivery of all SEO activities across client accounts.

Maintain full visibility into tasks, timelines, dependencies, and blockers.

Ensure high-quality, error-free execution through structured QA frameworks.

Run daily stand-ups, weekly review meetings, and monthly delivery retrospectives.

2. Team Leadership & People Management

Lead and mentor a team of 810 SEO specialists.

Drive team KPIs, productivity, and performance consistency.

Conduct regular feedback sessions and skill-building initiatives.

Provide hands-on problem-solving support during execution challenges.

3. Operations, SOPs & Process Excellence

Maintain and continuously improve SEO SOPs, checklists, and workflows.

Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks and implement process improvements.

Standardize execution across team members to reduce variability and errors.

Collaborate with cross-functional vertical leads to align delivery priorities.

4. SEO Oversight & Strategy Support

Monitor account performance and flag early indicators of SEO decline.

Coordinate with the strategy team to ensure execution aligns with strategic plans.

Stay updated on industry trends and algorithm changes, recommending actionable improvements for the team.

5. Client & Internal Communication

Support Account Managers in client conversations requiring SEO clarity.

Participate in internal and external meetings to represent SEO delivery functions.

Communicate performance updates, insights, and challenges clearly and professionally.

Required Skills & Experience

24 years of SEO experience, including at least 1 year in a team leadership or management role.

Strong understanding of website SEO and local SEO fundamentals.

Demonstrated experience managing teams of 610 members or overseeing large delivery workflows.

Strong project management skills, including task allocation, sprint planning, and prioritization.

Highly organized, process-driven, and disciplined operator who thrives on systems and checklists.

Strong analytical ability to interpret performance data and generate actionable insights.

Clear communication skills with the confidence to speak directly with clients when required.

Experience using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs/SEMrush, and BrightLocal.
