Key Responsibilities & KRAs
1. SEO Strategy & Leadership KRA:
Overall organic growth & SEO roadmap ownership
Define and execute the complete SEO strategy aligned with business goals
Lead and manage SEO executives, content writers, and external partners
Set monthly, quarterly, and annual SEO targets
Ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all digital assets
2. On-Page SEO Optimization KRA: Improve rankings of travel, destination & package pages
Optimize travel package pages, destination pages, blogs, and itineraries
Implement advanced internal linking, schema, meta optimization, and URL structures
Improve UX, content relevance, and search intent alignment
Conduct regular on-page SEO audits and ensure corrective actions
3. Off-Page SEO & Authority Building KRA: Increase domain authority & backlink quality
Design and execute white-hat link-building strategies
Build backlinks through travel portals, tourism websites, guest posting, PR, and partnerships
Monitor backlink health, remove toxic links, and protect domain authority
Manage citations, listings, and brand mentions across platforms
4. Keyword Research & Market Analysis KRA: Target high-intent travel traffic
Conduct advanced keyword research for:
o Destinations
o Seasonal travel
o International tour packages
o Long-tail & transactional keywords
Analyze competitors in Indian and global travel markets
Identify keyword gaps and growth opportunities
5. Technical SEO Management KRA: Maintain technical health & performance
Perform technical audits (speed, crawlability, indexing, structure)
Monitor Core Web Vitals, mobile performance, and site architecture
Manage sitemap, robots.txt, redirects, canonicalization, and site migrations
Coordinate with developers to resolve technical SEO issues 6. Content SEO & Collaboration KRA: SEO-driven content growth Work closely with content writers to plan SEO-led content strategies
Guide blogs, landing pages, destination content, and travel guides
Ensure content aligns with ranking goals, search intent, and brand voice
Plan seasonal and trend-based content for global audiences
7. Analytics, Reporting & Performance Tracking KRA: Measurable SEO outcomes
Track organic traffic, keyword rankings, leads, conversions, and engagement
Use tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.
Prepare weekly and monthly SEO performance reports for leadership
Present insights, growth trends, and improvement plans to management Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with leadership exposure
Mandatory experience in Travel & Tourism SEO
Strong understanding of:
o On-page, off-page & technical SEO
o Destination-based and package-based keywords
o International SEO & multi-location targeting
Expertise in SEO tools (GA, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.)
Experience working with WordPress or similar CMS
Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills Ideal Candidate Profile
