What You'll Own
- End-to-end SEO strategy: keyword research, on-page and off-page optimisation, technical SEO audits, and link-building initiatives
- Content planning and calendar for organic growth: identify high-intent topics, create briefs, and ensure every piece is optimised for search
- Manage and mentor external content writers, freelancers, and SEO agencies to scale output while maintaining quality
- Own website SEO health: site speed, crawlability, schema markup, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals
- Build and maintain a reporting dashboard for organic metrics (traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions) and present insights to leadership
- Programmatic SEO: identify opportunities to generate templated, high-value landing pages at scale (e.g., integration directory, API glossary)
- Competitive SEO analysis: track competitor rankings, content gaps, and backlink profiles to inform strategy
- Analytics and reporting: Set up and own the organic analytics stack GA4, Google Search Console, rank trackers, and attribution models.
- Build dashboards to track funnel performance from impression to MQL and surface actionable insights for the marketing and product teams
- Leverage automation (APIs, workflows, AI tools) to scale SEO execution and reduce manual effort
What Success Looks Like (KPIs)
- Month-over-month growth in organic traffic and qualified leads from search
- Keyword ranking improvements (top 10 / top 3 positions for target clusters)
- Own conversion from organic traffic to demo requests and pipeline generation
- Content output velocity and quality (publish cadence, engagement, backlinks earned)
- Technical SEO health score (crawl errors, page speed, indexation rate)
Must-have Skills
- 4 to 8 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in B2B SaaS or developer-tools companies
- Deep expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and keyword strategy
- Proven track record of growing organic traffic and pipeline from scratch or at scale
- Experience with SEO tools: Ahrefs / SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, or similar
- Strong content planning skills: ability to create briefs, manage writers, and ensure SEO-optimised output
- Comfortable working with CMS platforms (Webflow, WordPress, or similar)
- Data-driven mindset: can pull insights from GA4, GSC, and rank trackers to inform strategy
- Experience managing freelancers, agencies, or contract writers
Nice-to-have (big bonus)
- Experience in API, developer tools, or infrastructure/platform marketing
- Familiarity with programmatic SEO and building scalable landing page templates
- Understanding of AI-assisted content workflows and how to leverage them responsibly
- Basic understanding of product-led growth motions and how SEO feeds into them
