Steps AI is building AI agents for businesses across websites, Shopify, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and other customer-facing channels.

Our AI agents help businesses answer questions, recommend products, capture leads, track orders, book meetings, automate workflows, and increase conversions.

We're an early-stage AI SaaS startup looking for an SEO Intern to support our organic growth initiatives.

About the Role

As an SEO Intern, you'll get hands-on experience across SEO, content, link building, keyword research, competitor research, and community platforms like Reddit.

You'll work closely with our marketing team and learn how SEO works in a real B2B SaaS environment.

This is not a role limited to link building. You'll get exposure to different areas of organic growth and have opportunities to take ownership of your own projects.

What You'll Do

SEO & Keyword Research

• Conduct keyword and competitor research using Ahrefs and Google.
• Identify content opportunities and keyword gaps.
• Support on-page SEO and content optimization.
• Help improve internal linking and website content.

Link Building & Outreach

• Find relevant websites for guest posts, listicles, and other link-building opportunities.
• Research and evaluate websites.
• Send personalized outreach emails and manage follow-ups.
• Track backlinks and placements.

Content

• Assist with SEO blog writing and content research.
• Create content briefs and outlines.
• Support guest post and external content creation.

Reddit & Community Marketing

• Research relevant Reddit communities and discussions.
• Identify conversations where Steps AI can provide genuine value.
• Participate in relevant discussions without spammy promotion.
• Research other relevant communities and platforms for organic visibility.

Tracking & Reporting

• Maintain SEO and outreach trackers.
• Track rankings, backlinks, content, and outreach activity.
• Prepare simple weekly SEO reports.

What We're Looking For

• Final-year student or recent graduate.
• Strong written English and communication skills.
• Interest in SEO, content, and digital marketing.
• Good research and analytical skills.
• Comfortable using Google Sheets/Excel.
• Willingness to learn new tools and platforms.
• Proactive and willing to take ownership.
• SEO experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Search Console.
• Experience writing blogs or articles.
• Familiarity with Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn, or online communities.
• Basic understanding of SEO and keyword research.
• Published writing such as blogs, Substack, or LinkedIn posts.
