We are looking for a Google News & Discover Expert who can consistently drive organic traffic and improve visibility on Google News & Google Discover.
Responsibilities
- Optimise website for Google News inclusion and ranking.
- Improve visibility in Google Discover feed.
- Implement structured data (NewsArticle, Article schema).
- Improve E-E-A-T signals and content authority.
- Create a Discover-friendly content strategy.
- Analyse traffic from Google Search Console (Discover and News tab).
- Improve CTR through headline optimisation.
- Fix indexing and crawling issues.
- Work closely with the content and development team.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Google News Publisher Centre.
- Experience in getting sites approved in Google News.
- Deep understanding of the Google Discover algorithm.
- Schema markup and Technical SEO knowledge.
- Core Web Vitals optimisation.
- Experience with WordPress (Astra theme preferred).
- Google Search Console and GA4 expertise.
- Headline psychology and CTR optimisation.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with Tech / Blockchain / Crypto niche websites.
- Proven case studies of increasing Discover traffic.
- Understanding of YMYL and E-E-A-T guidelines.
